As part of our vision, outreach is a massive part of the church life. We believe we have been commissioned by Jesus to make disciples and to go and preach and therefore our lives and churches should reflect that commission. Here at Ryde Elim we try and run various events throughout the year to share with people the good news of Jesus. Every fortnight we have a prayer table in the high street of Ryde in which we collect prayer requests from people. A team of about 8 go out on the streets playing music and chatting to people.
During the summer of 2007 we entered into the Ryde Carnival under the banner of "dancing generation". In 2008 we hope to be involved in a major evangelistic opportunity called RE:ACT which means a number of local churches working together.
We will also be hosting in the New Year a number of courses including the Alpha course which is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.
