As part of our vision, outreach is a massive part of the church life. We believe we have been commissioned by Jesus to make disciples and to go and preach and therefore our lives and churches should reflect that commission. Here at Ryde Elim we try and run various events throughout the year to share with people the good news of Jesus. Every fortnight we have a prayer table in the high street of Ryde in which we collect prayer requests from people and offer them prayer on the street. A team of about 8 go out on the streets playing music and chatting to people.
Over the last two years we have entered into the Ryde Carnival under the banner of "dancing generation" and "living waters" . In the summer of 2008 we were involved in RE:ACT which is a day in which local churches join together to put on a free family fun day for the local area, this year saw over 1000 people come to the event.
We also hope to be hosting a number of courses including the Alpha course which is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith.
